Anissa Graham is an Instructor of English at the University of North Alabama. She is the co-editor of Kermit Culture: Critical Perspectives on Jim Henson’s Muppets and The Wider Worlds of Jim Henson: Essays on His Work and Legacy Beyond The Muppet Show and Sesame Street. Anissa presented at SCW2.
Stephanie Graves is a PhD student at Georgia State University. Her first Slayage conference was SCW6 in Sacramento, where she co-won the Mr. Pointy Award for best paper. Stephanie was a featured speaker at SCW7. She also presented at Joss in June 2013, and she was an organizer for Joss In June 2015.
Jennifer Keeton is the Outreach Coordinator for the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library. She presented at SCW3 and SCW4.
John Orman is the Executive Director of the Shoals Area Film Alliance. He holds a degree in Film and Digital Media from the University of North Alabama.
Brittany Rogers is an English/Language Arts major at the University of North Alabama. She was first introduced to Whedon's work by her husband and has been a fan ever since.
Stephen Melvin is a Visiting Instructor of English at the University of North Alabama. A long-time Whedon fan, this will be Stephen’s first Slayage conference.
Brenna Wardell is an Assistant Professor of English at the University of North Alabama. She presented at Joss in June 2015, where she co-won the award for best paper, and at SCW7. Among her publications is an essay in Slayage.
Cynthia Burkhead is an Associate Professor of English at the University of North Alabama. She presented at SCW2, SCW4, SCW5, SCW7, and Joss in June 2015. She co-edited with David Lavery Joss Whedon: Conversations. She is the current President of the Whedon Studies Association.
Emily Anerton is an English/Language Arts major at the University of North Alabama. She is a long-time BtVS fan and can't believe her good fortune in the opportunity to volunteer during SCW8.
